Smelter Facility Controls
An aluminum smelting client needed to incorporate six oxy/gas furnaces and two bag-houses. A complete controls room was designed and built to house the data collection servers, process controllers, and motor center.  Only remote panels and fuel delivery systems were exposed to the extreme temperatures.  A control tower held PC’s that merged machine controls with custom written scripting for asset lot tracking.  A data base maintained test and calibration schedules along with emissions monitoring to insure processed air quality remained within mandates.
